P.S. Arts Bag Lunch

Where your sack lunch has Dior stamped on it

I had a complete Bridemaid’s moment at the P.S. Arts Bag lunch (held at Shanna Brooks’s incredible pad, which used to belong to Brad and Jen). I got out of the car and was walking, and walking, and walking up to the party, and halfway up the rolling hills was a waiter with a tray of watermelon-mint juice. “Damn, that’s fresh,” Kristin Wiig would have said. I grabbed a glass and proceeded to the auction, which benefits P.S. Arts (it brings art education to underserved schools). Designer bags up for bidding were artfully strewn over a top patio and in a few rooms of the house, with prices starting at 60% off retail (there’s a bit of glazed-eye frenzy at this affair). One of the highest bids? For a brown Tom Ford Ostrich bag that after many a scribble went for $6,000. Dior Beauty was the sponsor, hence the sack lunches served in white Dior bags, plus if you snagged a bag there were Dior products inside (orange nail polish is definitely the new thing). Lunch, good grub by caterer Serves You Right, was served on a few of the terraces. Then I walked, and walked, and walked back to my dented Dodge Neon and reality.
