The F-Stop: Albert Roman's Postcard Project

Photo editor Amy Feitleberg shares her inspiration of the week

I met photography newbie Albert Roman at a portfolio review and was immediately taken with his work. His project is simple: write anything you want to say about Los Angeles on a postcard and then be photographed with it. I'm not sure who the subjects are nor what their socio-economic backgrounds might be, but it's fun trying to figure them out by reading what they've written. Are they optimists? Pessimists? Perhaps it depends on the day.

Today I think my postcard would read, ''Traffic can be a good thing. You can look around and see what you might be missing.'' What would yours say?

        My postcard would say :

My heart is at home here.
