Reader Connie Huante of Lawndale didn’t want to seem presumptuous when she asked, “Is there any remote possibility the December issue could include a segment on restaurants that are open on Christmas Day?” Dine editor Lesley Bargar Suter provides this hit list:
--> For more elaborate meals, try places like the Four Seasons, Whist at the Viceroy, Wolfgang Puck at the Hotel Bel-Air, or The Royce at the Langham in Pasadena.
--> Persian spots like Shamshiri Grill and Javan, both on the Westside, can be a flavorful option.
--> For truly low-key, try Neptune’s Net, the venerable chowder shack in yonder Malibu.
--> Or partake in a Jewish tradition: Eat Chinese food. You’ll barely have to wait for a table at Din Tai Fung, the Arcadia dumpling institution.
