Made Eyewear hits the interweb running as they launch their website for a completely unique place to generate customizable eyewear. The concept allows the user to custom create sunglasses or prescription eyewear with the choice of frame shape, color and personalized engraving. Want to try them on? The site features FittingBox FitLive software that allows for a virtual try on through a computer webcam. These individualized glasses are made to order and shipped in just 7-10 business days. With every pair sold, Made donates a pair to a global charity providing eye care to those in need.

At the company’s launch yesterday, we spotted one of our favorite men’s eyewear trends: the color mirrored shades. The rise to popularity came in 1985 when Oakley released their iridium-finish lenses and Serilium based frames in the coveted Frogskins. In 2009 Frogskins re-emerged in limited quantity, becoming instant collectors items fetching for $500. This season, once again mirrored sunglasses are finding their place in the sun.
