The Sartorial Sleuth and The Masters of Sex

Let’s talk about sex, baby.  That’s what Dr. William Masters and Virginia Johnson did, taking shagging out of the bedroom and into the lab. Premiering this Sunday, Showtime’s new series, Masters Of Sex—starring Michael Sheen and Lizzie Kaplan—is based on these researchers of romp. Set in the prim 1950’s, this duo caused quite the stir with their sensual studies. We’re focusing on the female body, too. Here’s where to find form-fitting, ’50s-style fashion. On the show, costume designer Ane Crabtree put the ladies in period undergarments that spotlight their shapely figures. Show off your silhouette with retro lingerie from What Katie Did. An homage to the princess of pin-up, Bettie Page sells feminine clothes that cling to your curves.

Our slideshow of fifties fashion above will arouse your senses. You can watch the official trailer here. And, if you’re over 18, you can watch the entire pilot episode for free here. Why not! It’s Friday!
