Affairs of Estate

Photograph by Dave Lauridsen

In Los Angeles magazine’s September issue, editor Ann Herold and photographer Dave Lauridsen look inside three housing estates conceived as exclusive oases for the privileged—Lafayette Square, Trousdale Estates, and Colfax Meadows.

Over time the makeups of these communities changed to better reflect the variety of the city. To see why three current homeowners chose these neighborhoods—where more than a few of the past residents are household names—and how they revived their historically rich homes pick up a copy of the September issue on newsstands or subscribe now

A small estate affidavit is used to avoid a probate proceeding and the appointment of an estate representative. A probate proceeding is usually required to settle an estate and distribute the assets of a deceased individual.

Another awesome Savannah Square. Lafayette Square is located on Abercorn, between Harris and Charlton Streets. I would like to visit this place again and again. Thanks for this incredible post.

What a place! Phew the picture alone just took my breath away for a second there. I can’t imagine the cost of stay would sound like. Well I do not think I can afford it at the moment. I am planning to shift my job, so someday I might. washington dc private tours!
