Fiddle Me This

Fiddler on the Roof (with Chaim Topol, the original Tevye to the uninitiated) opened at the Pantages Theatre. A swank after-do (hosted by us) was required, so all adjourned to Ivan Kane's Café Was on Vine after the last refrain of "If I Were A Rich Man." Someone manned the rotating piano at all times at the theatrical bistro while cast members mingled with well-wishers and had a nosh. Fiddler runs at the Pantages until August 9.
