I have been to the theater with Jo Anne Worley more times than I can count over the years, and the prem of Legally Blonde the Musical at the Pantages Theatre was no exception. You could hear the Laugh-In gal's cackle the moment you stepped inside the ornate Hollywood theater as she stood in the middle of the throng and greeted friends. Worley was joined by Nia Vardalos, Priscilla Presley, Haylie Duff, and Jane Seymour as well as 1940s glam gals Ann Rutherford and Anne Jeffreys. Most guests (many under the age of 13) trotted out their pink frocks, as that's the signature color of the show. The performances are fun and athletic—although the loudest applause was reserved for the cast's two canine actors (we do love dogs more than people here). The song "Omigod You Guys" got stuck in my head, but I was smiling as I walked to the after-do at Social Hollywood. Smiled even more when I ran into Borat sidekick (and The Dip owner) Ken Davitian eating a BLT. Also eating petite BLTs in the corner and chatting with the cast: Dick Van Patten?! Interesting night.
