"The Paring bottlings explore different styles and vineyards—from the
dual stylistic expressions of Santa Maria Valley Chardonnay to the
meticulously farmed Pinot Noir from a selection of distinctive Santa
Barbara sites. The winemaker Matt Dees comes to wine with an
untethered philosophy, a mindset embodied in The Paring. At the core
of these wines one finds a wide-ranging exploration of style,
vineyards and blending. When he’s not working with The Paring, Matt
can be found making the wines for its big sister winery—Jonata."
"Brought to us by notorious wine merchant Sandy Garber, Ferrer Ribiere
is a winery created by two friends: Denis Ferrer and Bruno Ribière in
1993. They grow all their own fruit and farm everything biodynamically
(a set of principles that combines organic agriculture, natural
farming and a hint of mysticism.) The wine comes from the south of
France close to the Spanish border and is a blend of Grenache Noir,
Syrah, Mourvedre and Grenache Gris. All in all an awesome rustic rose!"
"From the same producers that brought you Daumas de Gassac, the Guilhem
series of wines are a fantastic example of what the Herault province
of France has to offer. Crafted from 25 & 50 year old vines this wine
captures the essence of Southern France. Loaded with Syrah, Grenache,
Carignan & Mourdevre. What more could you ask for? A delicious easy
drinking summertime red."
"In 1962, Don Silvestre Hinojosa planted 122 hectares in the Alto Valle
de Uco (High Uco Valley) in Mendoza, Argentina. The stony and sandy
ground of Tunyán, Mendoza, allows excellent drainage of underground
water coming from ice melting off the Andes Mountains. Hinojosa's
wines are born at the foothills of the Andes, almost 4,000 feet above
sea level. Juicy, jamming, dark berry awesomeness is one way to think
of this wine."
