Elegant afternoon tea just got a lot more buzz-worthy, thanks to L’Ermitage Beverly Hills.
The high-end hotel’s restaurant, Livello, has launched its Wicked Tea service with tea-based champagne cocktails paired with booze-infused snacks from chef Roger Thomas that all feature a different kind of spirit.
The $75-per-person affair is available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. through June. It includes a champagne cocktail from mixologist Michael Arballo–either a hibiscus and chamomile drink or a strawberry tea Pimm’s Cup. Or if you’re feeling more nice than naugh-tea, you’re free to order a hot tea instead. Either way, you’ll get a warm beverage because Calvados apple cider with warm cinnamon beignets is one of the included sweet treats.
The generous spread of food also features scones (cranberry/gin/orange and bacon/bourbon), cognac and caramel chocolate brownies, and passion fruit liqueur and chocolate macarons. Savory bites include smoked salmon with dill on Fernet Branca pumpernickel buns; egg salad with elderflower liqueur and lemon aioli; and Armanac, leeks, and mushroom gratin.
