A Rose By Any Other Name

Skip the thorny stems—these products smell as sweet

Rose are red—and, let’s be honest, a little cliché. At this time of year, splurging on a dozen of the fancy flowers becomes the de facto way of saying,"I love you," but these sweet-smelling, rose-inspired beauty products are guaranteed to last a lot longer.

Rose oil is something of a miracle worker (60,000 blooms are needed to produce just one ounce of authentic otto rose oil). It provides astringent, tones the skin, and promotes collagen. When used on the body, it can improve circulation, strengthen the immune system, and assist in healing. And when released into the surroundings through the spritz of a fragrance or in the solitude of a bath, the oil can ward off anxiety and depression with its, ahem, electromagnetic vibrational energy—the highest for any floral.

And there’s no need to cringe at the thought of smelling like granny's boudoir.  This season's crop of products uses the finest in essences to bring the sensual flower’s elegant sweetness into full bloom. So drop some hints before Friday, or better yet, treat yourself.
