One small step for Brazil, one giant, flip-floppy leap for Los Angeles.

Brazilian brand Havaianas is opening a West Coast outpost at Westfield Topanga Canyon, and for #climatebraggers like us, this is a big deal. (Because let’s get serious: flip-flops are all but the official footwear of L.A.)

So what can buyers expect to find at the store’s first California branch? According to the company, hundreds of iterations of the classic rubber shoes alongside exclusive-to-Topanga styles and items from their closed-toe Soul Collection. There will also be a “Make Your Own Havaianas” option, where shoppers can customize flip-flop colors and pin adornments.

The store, which opened for business this month, has the following hours:

Monday-Saturday: 10:00a.m.-9:00p.m.

In the immortal words of the Pointer Sisters, we’re so excited and we just can’t hide it.

First California branch? I'm pretty sure they have one in Huntington Beach, right by the pier, for at least a couple of years.
