A trip around the home decor blogosphere would have you believe that the average lady blogger is a world traveler, a modern day gyp-setter with an expense account as vast as her experiences.
It might be true—or maybe they just know which far corners of the Internet to click into. Thanks to shopping sites like Etsy and platforms like Shopify, anyone with access to a dial-up connection can get their hands on global goods. Just recently, without leaving the confines of Santa Monica, I procured several key pieces from far off land thanks to the WWW.
Much of my inspiration comes from an inimitable school of home decor & design bloggers, all of which hail from Los Angeles. The best thing about these décor mentors: They share their magical-looking interiors online daily (read: class is free).
As I contemplated my 5 Favorite Moments From the Interior Design Blogosphere in 2013, it dawned on me that these ladies are rocking some of the very same elements in their own home decor that I’ve recently amassed. Without realizing it, I decoded their magic formula. Now I’m sharing it with you:

For example: Amber Turkish Kilim
For example: A Custom Initials Bracelet
Pillows with personality
For example: Grid Shibori Pillow or these Moroccan pillows
