Dreaming In Color at David Yurman

David Yurman on Rodeo Drive was going off last night. An intimate gathering to celebrate the latest collection turned the boutique into quite the hotspot—all that was missing was a DJ and a dance floor. The soiree was held to introduce Yurman's  three-part "Dreaming in Color" collection, each inspired by a different locale—Capri, Monaco, and London. Guests were also treated to some one-on-one jewelry wardrobe consultations with Travis, a David Yurman in-house stylist, who flew out from NY for the party. He also dressed model Sarah De Anna in 5 distinct David Yurman looks throughout the evening. I co-hosted the affair, which was well attended by collectors, models, actresses and socialites (even a tennis pro). I  learned tons about gemstones; how a chain necklace can double as a multi-strand bracelet (blend in a few braided leather ones for a more realistic look);  and how you still have to suck in your stomach when having your picture taken—even in a Herve Leger bandaid dress, and especially standing next to a model who just published a fitness book.
