When she delivered her first order, for Fred Segal Santa Monica, the buyer asked for an invoice. “I had no idea how to make one,” she says. Golden garland: Her signature piece, a gold-leaf headband, was rejected at trade shows, but Eddera kept tinkering with the design because of the response she received when she wore it.
