They’ve launched a line of hair care products for men
They may not all like to admit it, but I’m convinced most men dabble in the beauty products women leave lying around. Maybe they reach innocently enough for the prettily scented bath gel to see if it really does soften skin or try a single pump of that peptide rich serum to see how its magic works. No big deal. But shampoo? That’s one essential I’m not willing to watch disappear one dollop at a time.
Sorry fellas, I really don’t want you using up my precious collagen-infused volumizers. I’m not even so sure you even need rice proteins and seaweed for your daily routine.
So man up, men, and get your own hair care products at your local Rudy’s Barbershop. Launching this month, the Italian hair styling masters at Davines have teamed up with the founders of Rudy’s Barbershop to create a staple line of scientifically engineered “man”–agable products to get you feeling seriously moisturized and squeaky clean. Classic and understated in packaging, the citrus-smelling shampoo ($20) has vitamin rich Rocket extracts and Sweet Almond proteins to leave hair healthy looking while the coordinating conditioner ($24) protects hair without adding weight. You can’t mess up either if you go light on the products—both will improve your hair’s texture and make it easier to style on your way out during the morning rush. The brand’s original formula gets a boost from olive oil, which gently removes dirt and oils from the daily grind, in the line’s Body Wash ($20).
Do men really need separate stuff? According to Loufel Estayo, Rudy’s Barbershop’s director of education, they do. “Just like women, men need a grooming and styling regimen that is specific to their lifestyles and personal preferences,” he says. “Men will benefit with the right product aimed at improving hair density, texture, and balancing the effects of hormones.”
