Shades of Sunset: The Story Behind NCLA’s New L.A.-Inspired Nail Colors
Time to cover up, nudes. This fall, LA-based nail innovator NCLA has launched a wickedly edgy collection of colors perfect for creating spots, stripes, and squiggles. Called North of Sunset, the collection features four new shades inspired by the Hollywood Hills, including Dead-End Gorgeous (a high shine iridescent punk purple) and Laurel Canyon Lolita (a chip-resistant muted magenta). Both will make excellent complements to fall’s strong, deeply-hued peeptoe pumps or chunky-heeled ankle booties.
“Life north of Sunset is like nowhere else in the world,” says NCLA founder Elin Dannersted of her latest muse. “When thinking of a color palette for Fall 2013, I was inspired to create a collection depicting this insatiable appetite for big, bold, and beautiful things…and nails are no exception, especially this season. We all want shine and electricity!”
Here’s another product plus: All lacquers are never tested on animals and are 100% ‘5 free’, which means they are devoid of chemically offensive toxins and allergens such as dbp, toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, and camphor.
