New Valentino Boutique Opens on Rodeo
Who: Valentino Creative Directors, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccoli collaborated with British Architect, David Chipperfield to create the new Rodeo Drive Flagship store
What: In celebration of Valentino’s 50th Anniversary, Valentino’s creative directors and award-winning British architect designed three flagship stores that embody the brand’s vintage roots interwoven with modern trends.
On Tuesday evening, Rodeo Drive was partially shut down due to the paparazzi, red carpet, and A-list celebrities that attended the invite-only event. Upon entrance, guests slipped on a black “Valentino studded” bracelet that not only instantly made you feel chic but allowed guests to have a piece of Valentino, if you weren’t already decked out in brand. But most of the ladies dressed to the nines in Valentino— dresses, clutches, and shoes. Rachel Zoe showed up wearing one of the pieces inspired by Valentino’s “anamalia” prints from the 1960’s which is sold only at the flagship stores. Another favorite piece from the 50th anniversary capsule collection is the Bracelet Bag available in black, red, and blush. I’ll take one in all three shades… perfect for a day of shopping or a night on the town. Champagne and caviar were served on silver platters while guests mingled. The event ended around 8, the streets were filled with glowing spectators and paparazzi flashes as guests waited for their cars.
