Ferragamo and Monroe

On the heels of Simon Curtis’s “My Week With Marilyn,” Ferragamo has put together an exhibit of 14 pairs of shoes designed for Marilyn Monroe by the brand’s founder himself.  To Salvatore Ferragamo, Monroe was Venus in the flesh, our modern day goddess. Along with the shoes, costumes from the actress’s most celebrated roles, and artists’ depictions of Marilyn as a “myth of unattainable and tormented beauty” will be on display.

The exhibit will run from  June 2012 to January 2013 at the Museo Salvatore Ferragamo in Florence Italy.
