5 Banana Republic/TV Show Collaborations We’d Love to See:

In a blitzkrieg of cross-promotion Banana Republic has hitched its chino and button down wagon to Mad Men, Bon Appetit, Virgin America (designing their in-flight uniforms) and this fall to the horse drawn Anna Karenina sleigh. It made us wonder— who wouldn’t the company design for? On the heels of today’s Emmy nominations we took a shot at imaging a few awesome  Banana Republic collaborations we’d love to see. Game of Thrones fur pimp coat, anyone?

Banana Republic for Breaking Bad

From eco-friendly bamboo tighty-whities to full body hazmat suits in the season’s bold and brightest shades— this collection redefines meth lab chic. With a full line of shoes and accessories including glass pipe pendants and earrings, the Skinny Pete beanie, and the Wendy boot.

Style Editor’s Pick: The Walter White Pork Pie Hat

Get your Heisenberg on in this vintage felt hat. When the going gets tough this classic chapeau says you mean business— and it ain’t at the car wash.

Banana Republic for Louie

This limited edition collection of soft pima cotton black crew neck t-shirts and wide-fit stretch dress shirts in a variety of shades of black, including black, off black, and pre-washed black is timeless. They look great (especially in front of a brick wall) with “The Comedian” jean, a baggy high-waisted light wash denim.

Style Editor’s Pick: The XL custom-faded black crew neck T-shirt is perfect for the post-divorce first date.

Banana Republic for Game of Thrones

Be the talk of the Realm with the Summer Islands collection, a mix of Ice and Fire, which includes sexy separates, ye olde hooker halter tops and must-have (and protect) hot baby dragon accessories. It’s fur collars and breastplates for you Lords—winter’s coming, after all.

Style Editor’s Pick: Tyrion-inspired battle gear, in XS.

Banana Republic for Meet the Hutterites

This spring, Colony Chic makes huge (amber) waves in womenswear. Rock a collared maxi dress in soft lavender or rose floral with a black chiffon shawl that doubles as headscarf for that hip but contrite look.  Menfolk have their choice of two styles of black pants—a tailored cotton twill trouser or a straight leg jean so neutral they can be paired with any number of flannel or cotton button down shirts for endless farm to table ensembles.

Style Editor’s Pick: The Wesley Suspenders have a retro-Anabaptist vibe, and are essential since the handmade trousers are sans belt loops.

The Banana Republic Cesar Millan Collection

Dominate the office with this Dog Whisperer line of polo tees in neutral two-tone shades like “Rottweiler” black and tan, the “Boxer” beige and white and vibrant shades of cobalt, peacock, and violet.

Style Editor’s Pick: Pack Leader Polo With Popped Collar will get those b*tches to sit down and pay attention.

This post is amusing to a former Banana Republic trench worker (and I don’t mean trench coat).
