The Breakfast Conversation Series: Faith and Religion in Pop Culture
Los Angeles magazine and Pepperdine University hosted the second breakfast conversation of the series on Tuesday, June 26th at Kate Mantilini. The topic of the morning was the role of faith and religion in film and popular culture
The discussion was led by Editor-in-Chief Mary Melton, who interviewed Mike White, Executive Producer of HBO’s Enlightened; Craig Detweiler, Director, Center of Entertainment, Media and Culture at Pepperdine; and Marty Kaplan, Norman Lear Professor of Entertainment, Media and Society at USC Annenberg School. The panelists shared their thoughts and views about spirituality in entertainment.
