On Thursday, April 12 Los Angeles magazine and The Resmark Companies celebrated the grand opening of The Avenue. After a ribbon cutting ceremony with Councilman Tom LaBonge and a check presentation to the Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood, guests gathered by the pool to toast the new architectural apartments and penthouses. Over 200 guests enjoyed Herradura Tequila cocktails mixed by Joey Bernardo of Plan Check and delicious fare from Jimmy Shaw’s Loteria Grill. DJ Valida from KCRW provided eclectic sounds while Chris Nichols of Los Angeles magazine’s “Ask Chris” column was on hand to mingle with guests and answer any Los Angeles and Hollywood questions. Two apartments housed L.A. themed galleries featuring a collection of Los Angeles magazine’s historical Timeframe images and art depicting Los Angeles magazine covers of the future, 2061.
