From August 5 until August 15, the jam makery and cafe will be closed to make way for 20 new indoor seats. This renovation also involves the addition, next door, of LOU Wine & Provisions. The Silver Lake-based shop is known for its sweets and savory sandwiches, tart jams, and fresh fare. Owner Jessica Koslow is throwing a pre-shutter bash on August 4. Stop by for a menu full of specials and to say good-bye to the old Sqirl. » 720 N. Virgil Ave., Ste. 4, 213-394-6526 or sqirlla.com.
