Patina Guest Chef Dinner Series with Theo Shoenegger — 10/3
We love a good homecoming. Theo Schoenegger, former executive chef at Patina and currently of Encore’s Sinatra restaurant in Las Vegas, is rolling out a series of multi-course Italian tasting menus at his old stomping grounds in the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Meals range from $70 per person to $115 per person—the higher of which will feature six courses, including a blueberry and porcini risotto, 36-hour braised veal, and citrus carpaccio. Reservations required. More information.

Heirloom LA and Poketo Korean and Thai Street Food Festival — 10/4
Downtown gift store Poketo has teamed with Heirloom LA to curate a Korean and Thai-inspired backyard party. Kick back with soju cocktails, Kyochon-style chicken wings, beef larb lettuce wraps, as well as a “Smile Booth,” music, movies, and more. Tickets cost $65. More information.

La Feria De Los Moles — 10/6
Since 2008, La Feria de Los Moles has debated one of the food world’s most controversial issues: which Mexican state has the best mole. This year, Puebla, Oaxaca, Tlaxcala, and Guerrero will battle it out along Olvera Street for spiced sauce domination. In addition to more than 13 moles, the free event will feature (for purchase) an array of Mexican dishes and pastries. More information.
