Has Henry’s Tacos Found A New Home?!

Hallelujah, fans of yellow cheese, rejoice! The historic Henry’s Tacos, which devastated locals when it closed last month due to a landlord dispute, has found a new place to sling its signature gringo tacos. Studio City Patch reports that Studio Sub in Tujunga Village will be closing soon with the intention of making way for Omar Vega, the 21-year Henry’s employee who acquired ownership of the business from Janis Hood when she closed in January.

In a video on the Patch site, shot by reporter Mike Symanski, the Studio Sub owner Stephanie Levy says the closure is bittersweet, but she thinks the space—which is historic in its own right, having been home to the Barnaby’s burger joint—will make an ideal new location for Henry’s Tacos. Levy also makes sure to note that nothing’s final, but she seems pretty confident that those are the plans as of now.

We’ll continue to follow the story as it develops, but for now, things are looking up.

GREAT NEWS!!! Although I ate at Barnaby’s when I was in high school… it was not nearly as many times as I ate at Henry’s Tacos. Glad Henry’s has found a new location and will be serving my favorite bean and combo burritos once again! Long live Henry’s!!
