Downtown: Grand Central Market, here comes the money shot. Open today on GCM’s Broadway side, next to Jose’s Ice Cream Corner, is EggSlut, a brick and mortar version of the notorious breakfast porn-y food truck. Hunker down to EggSlut’s expanded menu, including scrambled egg sandwiches, sunny side up nachos, and of course, The Fairfax, at any of the counter’s 20 seats. Orange juice is provided by Press Brothers, coffee by G&B, and locally sourced, free-range, organic eggs by Electra Farm. » 317 Broadway, Downtown.

Culver City: The side of the building may still say Mi Ranchito, but Japanese-American fusion spot Fin has officially taken over the old cantina. The menu comprises your typical Asian-inspired fare: from ginger chicken to miso black cod. »12223 W. Washington Blvd., Culver City, 310-398-8611.

Hollywood: Down the Pacific coast from rainy Seattle comes Blue C Sushi, a Tokyo subway-inspired revolving sushi bar now open at The Dome in Hollywood. Snag some spicy tuna tacos off the Tozai line, or ceviche rolls off the Hanzomon line. But don’t fret if you miss your favorite mobile nigiri. Each color-coded plate is embedded with a special tracker alerting the kitchen if sushi supplies are running low. » 6374 W. Sunset Blvd., Hollywood, 323-391-2241.

Yowsa! What a name. Not a big fan. That brand has issues. Think about it. It’s a crazy name sure, but it’s going to limit your business because people will blush saying it!
