Garagiste Festival – 7/12
You’ve heard of garage bands, but how about garage wine makers? In France, more and more small producers are aging and bottling this year's grapes where they once parked their cars. Called garagistes, the niche oenologists are getting their own festival this weekend at Union Station, where you can try more than 40 styles of obscure French wine, even if you can’t pronounce the name. More information.

First Annual Food GPS Rib Festival – 7/13
Experience all the wonders ribs have to offer at Food GPS's all-inclusive event at Chinatown’s historic Central Plaza. Along with ribs and sides you'll find plenty of desserts, craft beer, cocktails, and soda. Tickets cost $65 for general admission and $90 for VIP. More information.

World Cup Final at the Good Eggs Foodhub – 7/13
Need a place to watch the best fútbolers go at it? No problem. GOODmagazine, local apron tycoons Hedley & Bennet, and artisanal foodstuffs distributor Good Eggs are teaming up for a World Cup viewing party picnic at Good Eggs' L.A. Tartine’s Chad Robertson at Rustic Canyon – 7/14
To celebrate the release of Tartine chef Chad Robertson’s new cookbook,Tartine Book No. 3, chef Jeremy Fox (Rustic Canyon) will prepare a five-course meal featuring dishes inspired by the book along with Robertson’s fresh baked breads. Extended DineL.A. Restaurant Week – 7/14-27
DineL.A. has added an additional weekend to its summer Restaurant Week. Los Angeles favorites like A.O.C., Sugarfish, and Rivera are among the 300-plus restaurants offering specially priced prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus throughout the 14-day event. More information.
