Get Craft Brews, Oysters, and Chicken Nuggets at City Tavern Downtown

City Tavern's second location opens tonight

Culver City's popular City Tavern gastropub has spawned a sister restaurant inside downtown's FIGat7th complex, and it opens tonight. Owners Ken Kaufman, Brian McKeaney, and Dave Northrup also run Rush Street and Roadside Eats; this is the first of what they hope to be many City Tavern locations.

Though it's significantly larger than the original location, craft beer remains a focus at City Tavern's new outlet. The multi-room space includes a cocktail lounge, dining area, and long bar. Find 28 taps here; each will rotate to serve brews from LadyFace, Ohana, The Dudes, and more artisanal breweries.

Culinary Director Jessica Christensen oversees the menu executed here by chef de cuisine Randy Montoya (Sadie in Hollywood). Brent Falco, formerly of Cole's and Cari Ha, formerly of Peking Tavern are behind the cocktail list. Stay tuned for a closer look at drinks from Caroline on Crack.

City Tavern Downtown opens tonight and will serve dinner nightly beginning at 5 p.m.
