Brickworks Roasthouse Now Open, Serving Manhattan Beach
The first restaurant in L.A. to cook everything in a wood-burning oven.
Yesterday, in a space that previously housed L.A. Food Show on Sepulveda near Rosecrans in Manhattan Beach, Brickworks Roasthouse & Grill opened its doors. Chef Scott Raczek, who previously served as executive chef at Mr. Stox in Orange County, has partnered with sommelier Matt Figenshow (Fleming's, Ruth's Chris) to run the restaurant, which is now open for lunch and dinner.
Lunch items include a prime rib dip and wood-grilled vegetable sandwich. Ease into dinner with a few woodfire-roasted systers with guajillo relish. Meatier options include espresso-cured roasted brisket and a lamb sirloin with grilled vegetable ratatouille. Even desserts, like the cookies and milk, are baked in the wood-burning oven.
The wine list offers an extensive 60 wines by the glass and 200 by the bottle. A full bar features 20 different kinds of scotch.
Brickworks Roasthouse & Grill is now open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m.
