"An ideal night out is stepping onto my porch area and grilling up a thick slab of something’s flesh." — Ron Swanson

Oh boy, oh boy. As of yesterday, Nick Offerman—comedian, carpenter, writer, and portrayer of Ron Swanson on NBC's Parks and Recreation—has his own namesake burger. We have Eagle Rock's The Oinkster to thank for this fantastic news.

All month long, stop into The Oinkster to get a taste of the "American Ham" Burger: a 6-oz. beef patty topped with shaved ham, two layers of gruyere cheese, hot sweet mustard, mayonnaise, and housemade bread and butter pickles on a sourdough bun. According to a release, "it's like the essence of manhood in a burger."

Also out this week? Offerman's newest book: Paddle Your Own Canoe: One Man's Fundamentals for Delicious Living. Clearly, the man knows something about food.
