Peachapalooza at Beachwood Long Beach and Seal Beach - 8/6 to 8/11
Just in time for National Peach Month, Beachwood is paying tribute to our favorite summer fruit: the peach. Both Beachwood locations will feature peach-inspired dishes such as peach gazpacho and peach fritters, as well as a few specialty peach beers. Can’t get enough? Take home a bottle of Beachwood’s homemade peach barbecue sauce for $6. More information.

Five Tomatoes Dinner at Lotería Grill - 8/8
Celebrate the peak of tomato season at Lotería Grill’s Five Tomatoes Dinner. Chef Jimmy Shaw will be joined by colleagues Evan Kleiman, Kris Morningstar, Giselle Wellman, Neal Fraser, and Duff Goldman for a prix-fixe family-style dinner highlighting the season’s most savored fruit. The dinner will begin at 7:30 p.m. and costs $55 per person. More information.

Boozy Oysters at Maru - 8/8
Head over to Santa Monica’s new Maru for an evening of boozy oysters with bartender extraordinaire Matt Biancaniello. The night’s featured oysters, $5 each, will be garnished with exotic flavors such as Cocchi Americano with purple shiso granita and jalapeno with cotton candy. Finish off the bivalve feast with some uni-sake sweet corn ice cream for $9. Reservations are recommended. More information.

First Birthday Celebration at Superba Snack Bar - 8/8
Superba Snack Bar is turning one, and to celebrate the restaurant is hosting a special dinner featuring some of L.A.’s favorite chefs. Joining Jason Neroni will be David LeFevre (M.B. Post), Vinny Dotolo (Animal, Son of a Gun), Kris Yenbamroong (Night+Market), and Craig Thornton (Wolvesmouth). Red Medicine’s Noah Ellis will be crafting cocktails for the event. The six-course prix-fixe meal costs $75 per person, with optional wine pairings available for $35. Proceeds will benefit the Westside Food Bank. Reservations are required. More information.

Summer Berries Ice Cream Class - 8/10
National Ice Cream month may be over, but that doesn’t mean you should stop indulging in the sweet treat. Pop over to Carmela for a seasonal ice cream class, where you’ll learn to make strawberry buttermilk ice cream and blackberry vanilla bean sorbet. 4th Annual Craft Beer Crawl in Downtown L.A. - 8/10 and 8/11
Sample unlimited tastings of more than 100 craft brews at the L.A. Craft Beer Crawl. Organized by L.A.’s own the Beer Chicks, the two-day suds festival takes place at a slew of downtown’s best bars, including Seven Grand, Las Perlas, and Broadway Bar. General admission tickets begin at $49 per day, with VIP upgrades available. A portion of this year’s proceeds will benefit Heal the Bay. More information.

BierBeisl Pop-Up at Shade Hotel - 8/11
The Shade Hotel welcomes Austrian chef Bernhard Mairinger for a BierBeisl pop-up by the sea. The four-course prix-fixe meal costs $40 per person and includes dishes such as kasekrainer sausage and classic Vienna veal schnitzel. Optional Austrian beer and wine pairings are available for an additional $20. More information.

Friends & Farmers: Can You Dig It? at Manhattan Beach Post - 8/12
Join Chef David LeFevre for the third edition of his Friends & Farmers: Can You Dig It? Dinner series, featuring Coastal Organics and special guest chef Charles Phan. The event will feature a four-course meal prepared with fresh-from-the-farm ingredients. Proceeds will benefit the organization Common Threads. Reservations are recommended. More information.

Anniversary Wine Dinner at Salt’s Cure - 8/13
Celebrate Salt’s Cure’s third birthday at their “Pink Anniversary,” a four-course all-grilled menu complete with rosé wine pairings. Sip on the pink stuff until your cheeks turn rosy and enjoy summery dishes such as grilled oysters with rose lemon butter and grapefruit pie. Matt Ahern of Next Generation Wine Co. will walk guests through the vino choices. More information.
