Are you part of the shameful 85 percent of Angelenos who—between picking up your weekly juice pack and posting .gifs of your Chemex in action on Vine—couldn’t find the time to vote last Tuesday? First: Were you aware that free stickers were involved? Second: Here’s a way to make up for it! This morning, Food & Wine magazine posted its preliminary nominees for Best New Chef, California, and there are a handful of strong Angelenos in the mix.

So who’s up for the honor? Our local nominees include Jordan Kahn (Red Medicine), Ari Taymor (Alma), Michael Voltaggio (Ink.) and Kris Yenbamroong (Night + Market).

Yenbamroong has already started campaigning: “Do not get me wrong...I feel extremely dirty, ashamed and emasculated having begged for your votes,” he says in a mass email to pals. “Please do not think any less of me!”

Show Kris exactly what you think of him—or any of the other L.A. nominees—by visiting foodandwine.com and supporting your favorite between now and next Monday, March 18.

Eat the vote!
