You remember good ol' Aunt Sally? No, not the crazy one that used to give you ugly sweaters for Christmas. I'm talking about the classic British drinking game where "competitors attempt to knock a 'dolly' (small wooden figure) off of a metal pole using a piece of wood."
Really? You've NEVER heard of it?
OK, neither had I, until the Pub at Golden Road set up an Aunt Sally tournament this Sunday at 2 p.m. on their recently installed lawn. Teams of four can enter the tournament for $40, which includes a pitcher of Aunt Sally Pale Ale, $3 off all additional pitchers of Aunt Sally Pale Ale, and a chance to win some Golden Road Brewing swag, with a grand prize of free Golden Road growler fills for a year.
Proceeds from this tournament go to the California Craft Brewers Association (CCBA).
