Oscar-Worthy Cupcakes and Cocktails
Magnolia Bakery and the Avalon Hotel are rolling out the red carpet with Academy Awards-themed cupcakes and cocktails, respectively. We wouldn’t mind a Black and White cupcake with a cocktail of the same name inspired by Best Picture nominee The Artist.
On February 25 and 26, the cupcakery is offering a Black Tie Box, a combination of three festive cupcakes (red velvet with whipped vanilla icing, flourless chocolate with vanilla bean meringue buttercream, and the Black and White, chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream and whipped vanilla icing). The box is available in packs of six or twelve.
The Avalon Hotel
The hotel’s restaurant, Oliverio, is mixing up cocktails inspired by this year’s Best Picture race. Order a cocktail anytime from now until Oscar night, when you can sip a Horse Tail or Crackerjack Martini while watching the show.
