We’ve all been there—an otherwise pleasant holiday party ruined because of the cringe-worthy table décor. Your kid’s art project? Please… Don’t be caught playing hostess without an over the top festive table display this holiday season. If you’re feeling a little rusty, there’s still time to brush up before your next soiree.
On December 5, Terri Wahl, owner and chef of Auntie Em’s Kitchen in Eagle Rock will host a little shindig of her own, teaching wannabe Sandra Lees how to arrange “found objects” and holiday décor into an artful presentation worthy of the County Fair. (Yes, there’s a tablescape competition.) Wahl will share her basic tablescaping tricks, like flower arranging, color combinations, and getting creative with household items that highlight your personal style. (Get your Q-tips and cotton balls ready.)
Your $40 ticket includes wine, cheese, and all the materials you need to unleash your inner domestic goddess. Scape the best damn table your friends have ever seen. Reserve a spot by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
