Bicycle-Churned Ice Cream Shop Opens in DTLA
Peddler’s Creamery puts the pedal to the metal to make its frozen treats
Owner Edward Belden uses a custom-built tricycle rigged with an ice cream maker to churn out small batches of ice cream in flavors like salted caramel, snickerdoodle, and vegan chocolate banana.
Before opening the storefront in downtown L.A.’s historic core, Belden (who we last checked in with for our Food Lovers’ Guide), had been riding his ice cream trike around town and was in the planning stages for the shop. It’s now open and churning at 458 S. Main St.
