We’re taking the day off from writing about food and moving right on to wishing on glazed Christmas cookie stars for our favorite dishes.

All I want for Christmas is…

Bill Esparza:Tamales de camaron, whole shrimp tamales from the state of Nayarit.”

Daniela Galarza: “A ham glazed with bourbon, browned sugar, spicy brown mustard, and gingersnap cookies. I think it’s Alton Brown’s recipe, but someone I met recently told me about it over Thanksgiving and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since. Also, a Timpano would be nice.”

Randy Clemens: “Family and friends gathered round—in person and in spirit—a nice, warm, cruelty-free meal that’s made with love and respect for ourselves, for each other, and for our planet!”

Eddie Lin: “A Shake Shack in Los Angeles!”

Caroline on Crack: “The perfect eggnog, preferably made with coconut milk, ’cause it just ain’t a cozy Christmas without that rich winter cocktail. OH! And what Eddie said!”
