You may not know Annie Preece but if you’ve ever driven down the back alleys of Melrose Blvd. between Fairfax and LaBrea, you’ve seen her work: larger than life faces spray-painted in neon hues or sometimes just a simple “xo, Annie.” Tonight, Preece moves from the street to the gallery with her first solo show, which opens at SPACE 1520 in Hollywood.

The exhibition, a partnership between Red Bull LAX, LAB ART, and SPACE 1520, is a one-night-only affair and from 7 to 11 p.m. Umami Burger will provide grub while DJ Ruck Rude spins tunes. Preece plans to unveil approximately twenty pieces including 3D installations, a relatively new medium for her. Show up for the burgers and walk out with some serious street cred.
