Jessica Alba Has Some Fun At Hermès

There are store openings and then there are store re-openings, which are usually even better bashes. Why? I dunno. Maybe it's like when you renew your wedding vows—you are not as nervous and it's really just an excuse to have a terrific party. Case in point—Hermès' elaborate ribbon cutting and after party for their redesigned Rodeo Drive boutique. Pierre-Alexis Dumas (6th generation member of the fam and the company’s artistic director) and Axel Dumas (cousin and co-CEO) cut the ribbon after a trumpeted fanfare and vertical dance company Bandaloop scaled down the front of the front of the new boutique for a performance. (I think I’d now like to be known as the “Vertical Party Girl,” please.)

The revelry then hit the road for an even more fabu after-do in Culver City at 3Labs. Who joined in the fun? Jessica Alba (Check out the drama - someone give her a part!), ForYourArt’s Bettina Korek, moneybags do-gooder Casey Wasserman, Art Patroness Maria Bell, Chef Thomas Keller, and Guess? brother Maurice Marciano (among others).
