Sorry about that (now I can’t get that Brady Bunch song out of my head). But I am still smiling about the happy kids running around playing at the EGPAF event in the park at Century City. There were bungee cord rides, kiddie singers, Pinks Hotdogs, skateboarders, electric cars and … Richard Simmons! I ran into Simmons in the Pink’s line and he was his same perky self and posed with every single person who wanted a snap (even singing Happy Birthday to someone). Gwen Stefani and the fam also showed up to lend their support and play in the sunshine. Folks hit up Rossdale to sign their skateboard decks (there was a spot to design your own).
Who else did I spy? Tom Arnold, Tia Mowry-Hardrict and Tamera Mowry-Housley, Disney Chairman Bob Iger, and Jake Glaser and Paul Glaser. Paul’s wife Elizabeth started the org when she contracted HIV through a blood transfusion and unknowingly passed it along to both her son and daughter. Elizabeth and her daughter both died of AIDS, but the organization she founded lives on. I’ve covered these hopeful outdoor picnics for years—it is anything but a sad event (check out the pics). Jessica Sanchez and Jamar Rogers (you watched The Voice) both performed on the outdoor stage.
