It’s a little tiny German-style deli with amazing breakfast wraps and killer service. Sweet people serving great food—what’s not to love?
Venice Beach Wines
This teeny tiny little spot gets absolutely packed, so I try to aim for the off-hours. They have a wonderful beer and wine selection and an absolutely fantastic menu.
Some of the favorite meals I’ve ever had belong to this little gem. Tucked away on a walk street of Venice, there’s just one word to describe it: Authentic. It’s incredible flavors and wonderfully balanced and savory meals. Yum Yum Yum. But bring your best credit card.
Urbanic Paper Boutique
Abbot Kinney’s gem and the best paper and stationary products for sure. I can spend a hundred bucks in there like it’s nobody’s business. Sheesh. Thanks, paper.
This is one of my happy places. When I’m off the road, I head for the hills and take in the gorgeous Santa Monica Canyons and breathtaking views from atop the peaks as soon as I can. It’s never overcrowded and you actually see wildlife. I know, crazy. This is one of my favorite spots in L.A. for sure.
This is for you Eastsiders! In Los Feliz! You’re welcome. I can wander this tiny store for what feels like forever. There’s amazing jewelry, knick-knacks, pillows, paper, etc. All hail the Spitfire Girl.
Groundworks Coffee Co. /18th Street Cafe
I love getting home from tour and heading to Groundworks in the morning. Local is the name of the game here, and the whole enterprise is earthy and kind. 18th Street Cafe is my favorite spot to go and sit and drink and work on my computer, write in my journal, etc. They serve Groundworks coffee, so it’s a win-win.
