Street Art Spotter: Morley is Back Though he Never Really Left

Morley started making street art in New York but honed his style and technique on the streets of Los Angeles. Now, he has a book out

Morley started his life in Iowa, but these days he is every bit an Angeleno. His signature wheatpastes demand your attention, and we oblige because we just can’t turn away.

WHO: Morley started making street art in New York but honed his style and technique on the streets of Los Angeles. He is constantly working on his craft and aims to engage his audience in unique ways. His website includes scavenger hunts through various L.A. haunts. Morley is just that awesome.

WHAT: If Septerhed represents L.A.’s creative energy, Morley represents its brain. Each piece is like a handwritten fortune cookie waiting to be unwrapped. They are morsels of goodness and there is nothing accidental about your finding them. In fact, they were waiting for you all along. The best news? Morley has finally collected all of his artwork and musings into a book, If You’re Reading This, There’s Still Time, which came out in April.

WHERE: Your local bookshop; we're partial to Skylight Books on Vermont Ave.
