TONIGHT: Street Artist Annie Preece Moves into the Gallery

Freebie Alert: Umami burgers at tonight's opening

You may not know Annie Preece but if you've ever driven down the back alleys of Melrose Blvd. between Fairfax and LaBrea, you've seen her work: larger than life faces spray-painted in neon hues or sometimes just a simple "xo, Annie." Tonight, Preece moves from the street to the gallery with her first solo show, which opens at SPACE 1520 in Hollywood.

The exhibition, a partnership between Red Bull LAX, LAB ART, and SPACE 1520, is a one-night-only affair and from 7 to 11 p.m. Umami Burger will provide grub while DJ Ruck Rude spins tunes. Preece plans to unveil approximately twenty pieces including 3D installations, a relatively new medium for her. Show up for the burgers and walk out with some serious street cred.
