Your wife, Kiki, wrote the script. Was it a collaborative process?
I would tell Kiki the stories and she would write them. Everything in the script is documented—it just hadn’t been written down and put into a show format.
What were the challenges in translating your voice and persona?
Every line had to sound like something I would say. There were times where I would jump in and be like, “No, this is how I would say it.”
Which part of the play is the most difficult to perform?
Talking about losing my daughter, Exodus. It’s the hardest thing I ever had to do in my life. Reliving it has its emotional challenges.
