Black Rebel Motorcycle Club Returns

The band will play their first show in L.A. in nearly three years

San Francisco garage rockers Black Rebel Motorcycle Club will return to Los Angeles for the first time in nearly three years. They'll be playing a show next Friday (Dec. 21) at The Troubadour. What might you expect? Tracks from the trio's upcoming album, which drops in March.

Taking their name from Marlon Brando's motorcycle gang in the 1953 film The Wild One, BRMC isn't the only indie band to choose a moniker from a motorcycle movie. Noisy Canadian art rockers Godspeed You! Black Emperor took their name from a black-and-white, 1976 documentary about Janpanese motorcycle enthusiasts.
