Location: Fisher Museum of Art, University of Southern California.
What to expect: Walking up the museum’s front steps you’ll see a glass door with a backdrop containing the large gray words “L.A. IS 18% GRAY.”
Sight Specific is a combination of several different exhibitions shedding light on L.A. photography from 1974 to 1985. Experimentation seems to be a common theme among the photographers. Some images portray nudity, while others focus on multiculturalism. The show presents binders that visitors can skim through, along with relevant magazines and books.
