CD Review: I Can See the Future by Eleni Mandell

Add a comment

After performing prolifically for more than a decade, both on her own and in groups like the Living Sisters, Mandell isn’t just a local songstress—she’s a city institution. Her eighth solo record (Yep Roc Records, $16) is so relaxed and squeaky clean, it’s as though motherhood has sapped some of her edge. This is the kind of music a lady listens to as she sips cocoa. While we yearn for more angst, who can fault a gal for being happy?
