Art And A-Listers: LACMA Raised A Whopping $4.1 Million At Their Art + Film Gala

The only thing in short supply LACMA’s Art + Film Gala were plebs. You couldn’t flick a Patina duck sausage canapé (topped with a poached duck egg, nice touch) and not whack a network/studio head or notable artist or actor.

Eva Chow and Leonardo DiCaprio co-chair the bash each year, and this go-round honored DiCaprio’s long-time collaborator, director Martin Scorsese (also a huge film preservation guru) and legendary artist David Hockney. Gucci sponsored, therefore everyone got an extra fabulous looking goose at LACMA Director and CEO Michael Govan’s glam shindig. Who made their way past Chris Burden’s Urban Lights on their way into cocktails, dinner and a performance by Sting?

Deep breath (or as Sacha Baron Cohen says when you both go for the hors d’ouevre tray, “Together shall we?”): Drew Barrymore, Will Ferrell, Doug Aitken, Agnes Varda, Bob Iger, Warren Beatty, Sacha Baron Cohen, Isla Fisher, Larry Gagosian, Mary J. Blige, Robert Downey Jr., Salma Hayek, Les Moonves, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ed Ruscha, John Baldessari, Kate Beckinsale, Jeremy Renner, John C. Reilly, Jane Fonda, Brad Grey, Glenda Bailey, Kate and Laura Mulleavy, Jimmy Kimmel, James Franco, Kate Hudson, Barbara Kruger, Barbara Davis, Lari Pittman, Brian Lourd, Fergie, Lynda Resnick, Annie Philbin, Zoe Saldana, Henry Winkler, Teller, and Jason Sudeikis were among the 600 guests. Last up the carpet into din-din? The fashionably late Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
