A Comedian Walks Into A Furniture Store…

As a veteran party reporter, I rarely valet my car. I’ve got secret parking spots all over town. Or I just self park with Jay Leno and Jon Voight (I know, I know: name-dropping)—who aren’t fond of it either. But I kicked myself when I walked up to the valet and it looked like Taylor Lautner was parking cars (in a natty grey suit – even the valet was stylist) at Camerich’s grand opening celebration. Owners Michael Lin and Stephen Bianchi have a new Los Angeles showroom a.k.a U.S. flagship for the line’s contemporary furnishings. Modern beds, sofas, desks and chairs drew designers, stylists, and celebs like Jon Lovitz, Jonathon Schaech (so fun on Ray Donovan) and Taryn Manning (who also acted as in-house DJ) to party amongst the wares. The violet champagne flowed (Vina Sympatica – good stuff) and the well-dressed skinnies snapped up the canapés before I could get much of a taste. When Manning took over the DJ booth, Lovitz popped over to chat and Manning taught the comedian a new skill—mixing. DJ Jonnie Lovitz in the house!
