The Luckman Fine Arts Complex is defined by its four venues; Luckman Theatre, Street of the Arts, The Gallery, and Luckman Intimate Theatre. It's located on California State University, Los Angeles campus offering visual arts, film, and music, dance, theatre performances from all over the world. It opened in1994, and was constructed by the esteemed Los Angeles architectural firm, Luckman Partnership, Inc, with sun-drenched bricks to represent the “old” California.
The Luckman Gallery sits at the top of the Street of the Arts. They offer contemporary art exhibits by featured artist for about two months. The Street of the Arts serves as the main entrance that links the Theaters and Gallery together with its 14 towering arches and red brick walkway.
The Luckman Theatre seats 1,152 people, but transforms into a smaller 500- 624 seat theatre. The theatre is the home of the Luckman Jazz Orchestra. The Intimate Theatre was built in 2004 and seats 300 people. It was built as an evolving space allowing the stage to be limitless to changes made. Patrons enjoy the theatre because of its intimate space, excellent acoustics during concerts, and affordable prices.
There are also the Luckman Amphitheater and the Donor Garden are available for events.
